I have had the pleasure to work in the Maritime Industry for about 30 years – seen the big oceans onboard tankers, navigating the Archipelago as charter captain, organizing sea-adventures with kayaks and jets, selling small and big boats, building up companies together with passioned owners, running storage and service-yards and marinas, launching new boat brands, and building sales networks globally. A true pleasure and privilege to have had the opportunity to experience the business from many angels, both locally and internationally and to work with so many great persons in the Maritime Industry.
As you see, boats and ocean have shaped me since a small boy. My free time has always been filled with sailing, motorboating and all different toys linked to water. I enjoy every second on the ocean together with my family or alone and I have been extremely lucky to have my passion for the sea also at the center of my professional path.
Things change – I would no longer pee in the ocean. The whole Maritime Industry is also changing. Everybody is getting more concerned about the future of our seas and nature. I want to have an active role in the change. Electric solutions are already here, different kinds of hybrid installations and other inventions are seeing the daylight. Fossil free fuels are already existing. There are new ways of owning your boats and watercrafts and different ways of selling and distributing them. Boats reaching the end of their life need to be taken care of and new more efficient and cleaner materials and building methods are being used.
The first steps on my new journey will be together with VIVA Electric Jets VIVA ELECTRIC JETS – VIVA, designed, engineered, and built in Finland and soon sold all around the world. I am also involved with Fossil Free Marine Fossil Free Marine – www.fossilfreemarine.com – We make boating sustainable.
And I will never stop selling and buying boats, it is in my DNA.
